One of the most basic commands in AutoCAD is "ROTATE" the objects. Is can be initiated by typing "ROTATE" or "RO" on command line or can be initiated form AutoCAD Ribbins's HOME tab.

Here goes the working of the command :

1. Initiate the "ROTATE" command by any of the methods stated above.
2. Select the objects to be rotated
3. Specify the base point
4. Specify the rotation angle.

It is possible to rotate the objects with respect to some reference angle also. 

To do this : 

1. Initiate the "ROTATE" command by any of the methods stated above.
2. Select the objects to be rotated
3. Specify the base point
4. Type "R" on the command line
5. Now specify reference angle
6. Specify the new angle

You can also make a copy of your original objects on an angle with "ROTATE" command. 

To do this:

1. Initiate the "ROTATE" command by any of the methods stated above.
2. Select the objects to be rotated
3. Specify the base point
4. Type "C" on the command line
5. Proceed with command either using reference method or simply enter the new angle
